Summer Meet and Greet with Solidarity St. Louis and Sisters Talking Back

Sunday, July 13
5:00 to 7:00 pm
Blank Space, 2847 Cherokee

We will be bringing in the founder and director of the Dane County Time Bank to come and speak about the Madison TimeBank Youth Court, whose mission is to provide a positive alternative to the juvenile justice system so youth can willingly take responsibility for their actions, make amends and build healthy and productive relationships. Working with law enforcement, schools, and neighborhood groups; youth in the program can contribute to a safer, more caring community.

We hope that you will join us to learn more about this initiative and meet others in the St. Louis community who are also doing work around timebanking and the criminal justice system. In addition to highlighting the work of the Dane County TimeBank, we will be launching our local campaign in partnership with the Cowry Collective Time Bank to pressure the city to allow people to pay off fines for nonviolent offenses using their time instead of money.

We’ll also be doing a **BOOK SWAP** at this event thanks to a sponsorship from Shareable, so bring a few to swap (it doesn’t have to be related to the event) if you can!
