Partnerships for Peace-Dignity for All

In honor of International Peace Day, Veterans for Peace is hosting a panel discussion titled “Partnerships for Peace-Dignity for All.” The panel will talk about ways the traditional anti-war/peace groups and domestic issues-oriented organizations may partner to work for peace.

Speakers include:
Jose Alfredo Chavez (Latinos en Axion STL)
Faizan Syed (CAIR-STL)
Tara Tee (Hands Up United)

The panel will be moderated by Woody Powell, Korean War Veteran and former Executive Director of Veterans for Peace.

Katerina Canyon serves as Executive Director of the Peace Economy Project, where she combines her passion for community advocacy, creative expression, and social justice to challenge militarization and uplift human-centered policy. Drawing on experience in tech, nonprofits, and international communication, she leads research and organizing focused on peace, accountability, and community investment. She is also a poet whose work explores trauma, resilience, and collective healing.
