DC Kick-Off Summer Barbecue

Join the Peace Economy Project as we beat the heat this summer with a barbecue at the Wine Press! Come on out to catch up with old friends and make new ones who are working hard for peace.

$15 gets you a plate of barbecue with sides. Vegetarian option available. Be sure to RSVP to peaceeconomyproject@gmail.com with your barbecue choice (chicken breast, ribs or vegetarian brauts)!

Cash bar available, as well as open mic and to-go containers for those who need to take their meal on the road. All proceeds benefit PEP.

Katerina Canyon serves as Executive Director of the Peace Economy Project, where she combines her passion for community advocacy, creative expression, and social justice to challenge militarization and uplift human-centered policy. Drawing on experience in tech, nonprofits, and international communication, she leads research and organizing focused on peace, accountability, and community investment. She is also a poet whose work explores trauma, resilience, and collective healing.
