John Dear worked as Executive Director of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and in homeless shelters – as a Red Cross Chaplain after 9/11 – traveled in warzones around the world – lived in El Salvador, Guatemala & Northern Ireland – been arrested over 75 times in acts of civil disobedience against war – spent 8 months in prison for a Plowshares disarmament action – arranged for Mother Theresa to speak t various governors to stop the death penalty.
