PEP Calls for Immediate Ceasefire and Humanitarian Protection in Gaza
The Peace Economy Project (PEP) is alarmed by reports that Israel is preparing a ground invasion of Gaza City, even as intensified airstrikes have already killed scores of civilians and displaced countless families. The situation is dire, with approximately 20 hostages still believed to be alive and a humanitarian system already at the breaking point.
We join voices across the globe in demanding:
- An immediate ceasefire to halt further loss of life.
- Humanitarian corridors to guarantee food, water, and medical access to Gaza’s residents.
- The safe release of hostages and international mediation to prevent further escalation.
- Accountability under international law for actions that endanger civilians and violate human rights.
The U.S. government has a moral obligation to use its influence to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. Military escalation will not bring security or peace. Only diplomacy, accountability, and a renewed commitment to a just resolution can ensure lasting safety for Israelis, Palestinians, and the region.
About Peace Economy Project
The Peace Economy Project advocates for redirecting resources away from militarization and toward community needs. We believe that peace and security come not from war, but from justice, human dignity, and economic investments that sustain life.
