Charlie was a Veteran who served in Korea. He was an adjunct professor in Public Policy Studies at St. Louis University. He was a city planner who worked for St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis during a 35 year period. In addition to the PEP Board, Charlie served as Chair of the Focus St. Louis Implementation Committee on Disaster Preparation and the Boards of Visions for Children at Risk and St. Louis Artworks.
Charlie was always so interested in others; he wanted to hear about everybody’s stories and experiences. His kindness was on the very surface of his being and it shone. We are so glad that, this summer, Charlie had the chance to celebrate his 80th birthday with the people he loved and that he was able to reach that special milestone.
He will be deeply missed.
