Build Peace, Not Power: A New Vision for U.S. Foreign Policy

black stackable stone decor at the body of water

For too long, U.S. foreign policy has been driven by fear, force, and the false promise that security can only come through military dominance. Year after year, we spend more on weapons, war, and surveillance than on diplomacy, development, and human rights combined.

This militarized approach hasn’t made us safer — it has led to endless conflict, destabilized regions, and deepened global inequality.

At Peace Economy Project, we believe it’s time for a different path — one that prioritizes:

🌍 Peacebuilding over war-making

🤝 Diplomacy over domination

💸 Investment in people over profit for weapons manufacturers

🏥 Global health, education, and climate justice over military expansion

We’re calling on Congress, the White House, and the American people to:

  • Cut the Pentagon budget and redirect funds to healthcare, education, and environmental justice
  • End arms sales to regimes that violate human rights
  • Strengthen diplomacy and conflict prevention efforts
  • Close overseas military bases that fuel global instability
  • Support international cooperation on climate, equity, and disarmament

🕊️ True national security means shared prosperity, not perpetual war.
