“My connection with Peace Economy Project dates back to 2011, when I first joined as a social media and international affairs intern. This experience opened my eyes to the profound mission we carry out. Since then, I have periodically served as a temporary editor and have been a dedicated member
of the board since 2020.”
Jason Sibert is now the lead writer for the Peace Economy Project. He comes to the organization with over 17 years of experience in the field of journalism. He worked for the Suburban Journals for a decade and has worked for a variety of publications as a freelance writer since then. Over the years, he’s penned several pieces on environmental issues as well as local issues and politics. Sibert also spent some time working in accounting, sales, and marketing.
He’s also a former contributor to PEP and appreciates the opportunity to work for the organization and express his views on appropriate levels of military spending, international law, and the need for vigorous diplomacy to limit the number of military engagements overseas.
