PEP founder, Mary Ann McGivern, created the petition and lays out some wasteful areas of Pentagon spending that we could see go, such as golf courses on military bases.<\/p>\n

A third of our U.S. tax dollars went to the military in FY2011. We spend more on the military than the next 14 nations. Don’t cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, access to parks, transportation and food safety, care of our earth. Cut military spending.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
