Many of the lands that Native communities once cared for have been transformed into sites of extraction, exploitation, and conflict\u2014robbing them of their heritage and the natural balance they so deeply respected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We must also recognize that despite these systemic oppressions, Native American leaders have been at the forefront of movements for peace, environmental stewardship, and social justice.
