Rachel has a background in the nonprofit sector, most recently working during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with grocery and retail workers. Her work during this time ensured that essential workers were guaranteed higher pay, direct access to protections, and stronger contracts overall. Rachel is a sixth generation Angeleno and a co-host of the LA Podcast.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Rachel began her professional career in museum education, working for the Natural History Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the National Gallery in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Rachel is a two-time Getty Scholar and holds a B.A. in Art History and Ethnic Studies from Mills College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Her activism seeks to improve the lives of all people.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rachel Reyes is a community, political, and worker organizer born and raised in Los Angeles.
