An official offshoot of the world-wide events created by Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion, \u201c100,000 Poets &amp; Musicians for Change \u2013 St. Louis\u201d is a blending of the largest poetry and music events in history, with hundreds of countries around the world participating in umbrella events. Recorded by Stanf<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">ord University for placement in their LOCKSS Historical Preservation System, this year\u2019s show will be held at MELT on historic Cherokee Street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The St. Louis event will focus on active change, with local non-profit organizations present to give out information and accept donations, including Hope Over Hunger, Peace Economy Project, and more TBA. Organized by Amanda Wells and Susan &#8220;Spit-Fire&#8221; Lively, \u201c100 Thousand Poets &amp; Musicians for Change \u2013 St. Louis\u201d is free and open to the public, and Sister Cities Cajun &amp; BBQ will be in the house with a delectable selection of beverages and food.<\/p>\n<p>A diverse array of powerful and uniquely gifted voices will grace the stage at this year&#8217;s show. Our featured artists include 3KNGZ, Ackurate, Kyle Aiko, Bates, Dr. Michael Castro, Bell Darris, Aireez DaRychuss, Denise Dynolium, DuEwa Frazier, Matthew Scott Freeman, Pamela Garvey, Philip Gounis, Brian Hilderbrand, Emma Jean, Kaiserrific, Kels, Kim Keplar, Knowledge, Aja La&#8217; Starr, Peggy Lindblad, Mannarzm, Basmin Nadra, Jacob Oliver, RC Patterson, Favour Renae, Kevin Renick, Shane Signorino, Spit-Fire, Amanda Wells, X Blu Rayne, and more TBA.
