JUSTICE WALK OVERVIEW<\/p>\n<p>The Michael Brown, Jr. Walk For Justice (&#8220;Justice Walk&#8221;) is part of the annual CFC Annual Memorial Weekend Celebration. This festive celebration of family fun (August 5-7 &amp; 9) includes: 1) an opening reception and Youth Truth Telling Program; 2) a Community picnic with entertainment, food concessions and games; 3) a worship service; and 4) Vigil.<\/p>\n<p>II. ROUTE<\/p>\n<p>The Justice Walk begins at 8:00 a.m. at Canfield Apartments with the first (rest stop #1 &amp; Cooling Station) at West Florissant and Lucas &amp; Hunt; travels on to Michael Brown, Jr. Sign near Shell Gas Station at 70 &amp; Lucas Hunt (rest stop &amp; Cooling Station #2) through St. Peter Cemetery (r<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">est stop #3) ending at Normandy High school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>MISSION\/VISION<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2014, The Michael Brown Foundation d\/b\/a Chosen For Change (CFC) is a non-for-profit which provides community support and outreach programs, activities and events that are responsive, reflective, and holistic for families affected by, or at risk of becoming and\/or experiencing grief resulting from the loss of a child due to a tragic unforeseen circumstance.<\/p>\n<p>Focused on strengthening and changing the destiny of impoverished communities, CFC aims to empower, engage, and build leadership and self-determination in grieving fathers, children and youth and families regardless of religious preferences, ethnic background, gender and race.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday, Aug. 6 8 &#8211; 10 a.m. Canfield Apartments, 2974 Coppercreek Rd., 63136 MICHAEL BROWN CHOSEN FOR CHANGE FOUNDATION I.
