Earlier today, Representative Dave Camp (R-MI) and Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) introduced “Fast Track” legislation that would enable the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and other free trade agreements to be signed by the White House before the public gets to see them, and then rushed through Congress circumventing ordinary review, amendment and debate procedures.<\/p>\n

Granting “Fast Track” to the Trans-Pacific Partnership — a secretive agreement negotiated behind closed doors by government bureaucrats and more than 600 corporate lobbyists – is a BAD idea.\u00a0\u00a0It threatens everything you care about: democracy, jobs, public health, the environment, prospects for peace, and the Internet.<\/p>\n
