LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said he enjoyed the lively conversation he had with residents this afternoon via Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was kind of all over the place, but in a good way,\u201d Dotson told KMOX after the virtual meeting.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, people tweeted questions to the chief (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChiefSLMPD\" target=\"_blank\">@ChiefSLMPD<\/a>) from noon to 1:30 p.m., in an open conversation the department called \u201cReal Talk with Chief Dotson.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The questions ranged from the possible use of drones by the St. Louis police department, curbing drug abuse and crime, and how to become an officer.<\/p>\n<p><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-1\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"307\"><\/iframe><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-2\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"210\"><\/iframe><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-3\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"234\"><\/iframe><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-4\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"307\"><\/iframe><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-5\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"210\"><\/iframe><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-6\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"440\" height=\"283\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dotson jokingly said sometimes it was tough to answer questions with only 140 characters, but it was a success and he plans on doing it again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought it was a great opportunity for the police department and for me to reach out to a pretty broad based audience,\u201d Dotson said. \u201cI go to a lot of neighborhood meetings but this was a chance for the whole city the whole region to kind of be participating in the whole conversation.\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23ASKstlCOP&amp;src=hash\" target=\"_blank\">#ASKstlCOP<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KMOX click here for original article ST.
