Boeing won 17 percent of those contracts.<\/h3>\n<p>by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hazelwood.patch.com\/users\/candace-jarrett\" data-ctrl=\"{page}:author:{n}\" data-act=\"visit:user:profile\" data-sub=\"candace-jarrett\">Candace Jarrett<\/a>, Hazelwood Patch<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/hazelwood.patch.com\/groups\/business-news\/p\/boeing-gets-165-million-federal-contract-for-hazelwood-defense-facility\">click here for original article<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Department of Defense has awarded The Boeing Co.\u00a0a $16.5 million contract to repair AV-8 Harrier aircraft parts for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marines.mil\/\">U.S. Marine Corps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The work will be performed in St. Louis and is expected to start Oct. 10 and last until Sept. 30, 2015, according to\u00a0Stephanie Bass, communications specialist at Boeing.<\/p>\n<p>No new jobs will be created for the contract, rather about 60 workers at the Hazelwood defense facility\u00a0are part of the Harrier team.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.defense.gov\/contracts\/contract.aspx?contractid=5136\">Department of Defense issued 18 contracts on Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0worth $870 million.
