The Peace Pirates will be hosting their first Peace Talks of the People, by the People, for the People on Saturday, Sept. 7th. in Alton, Il. This peace conference is the first of many that will be\u00a0hosted and facilitated\u00a0in the United States.<\/p>\n

These Peace Talks are the people\u2019s chance to join together and voice their insights and solutions. Let\u2019s get practical. How can we move from a war economy to a peace economy? Let us take a look at our priorities, and put people first. Each human being is sovereign and has rights. Let\u2019s work together to restore and strengthen that foundation.<\/p>\n

The St. Louis Peace Conference \u2013 to be held in nearby in Alton, IL \u2013 will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will utilize a \u201cdemocracy-in-action\u201d discussion process called Open Space Technology (OST). Learn more about OST here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the conference in Alton, the Peace Pirates will sail down the Mississippi to host conferences in other cities.<\/p>\n

The cost for the full-day event on 9\/7\/13 is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. The Conference, which is non-partisan and non-denominational, will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Transformers United\u00a0for Christ, 1145 College Avenue, in Alton, Illinois.<\/p>\n
