St. Louis with a $39.5 million modification to a contract for joint direct attack munitions,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.defense.gov\/contracts\/contract.aspx?contractid=5074\" target=\"_blank\">according to the department.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The contract will add 1,601 joint direct attack munition tailkits, and the value of the overall contract now totals $141.9 million.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the tailkits, a small lifting surface located on the tail of an aircraft, will be performed in Saint Charles, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In the first quarter, Chicago-based Boeing Co.
