Monday, June 15
7 – 9 pm
MoKaBes, 3606 Arsenal

Created in February 2013 by Katerina Canyon and Susan Lively as a “poetic valentine from the women of St. Louis to the women of the world”; “Women for Peace” is a series dedicated to promoting Gender Violence Awareness.

The June event will feature performances by Kristy “Lightning” McKeown, Favour Renae, Ree Cee, Sahara “Sista Sols” Scott, Susan “Spit-Fire” Lively, and Special Guests Derrick Owens and Christopher Kaiser. Lively will produce and host the show. There will be scrumptious food and beverages available for purchase as well. $5.00 suggested donation; all proceeds benefit PEP.

Katerina Canyon serves as Executive Director of the Peace Economy Project, where she combines her passion for community advocacy, creative expression, and social justice to challenge militarization and uplift human-centered policy. Drawing on experience in tech, nonprofits, and international communication, she leads research and organizing focused on peace, accountability, and community investment. She is also a poet whose work explores trauma, resilience, and collective healing.
