Vote No on Amendment 5

The Peace Economy Project endorses a No vote on Missouri Constitutional Amendment 5. The amendment, which simply reiterates Missourians’s right to bear arms, would make it harder for the state legislature to regulate concealed weapons. The amendment would also be costly, causing increased litigation and criminal costs. The Peace Economy Project feels that this amendment in unnecessary given our second amendment right in the federal constitution, and would make it more difficult for the state to address and prevent gun violence.

The Drone Free St. Louis coalition, of which PEP is a member, also has taken a stance of No on Amendment 7 and Yes on Amendment 9. Find out more on their website, dronfreestl.org.
