These talented individuals bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and expertise to their research and advocacy efforts. Through their work, they help us push for policy changes that promote a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Our Fellowship Program

Our fellowship program is designed to empower emerging leaders in the fields of peacebuilding, nuclear policy, economic justice, and advocacy. Fellows engage in cutting-edge research, advocacy campaigns, and educational initiatives that advance the Peace Economy Project’s core objectives. We are proud to provide them with a platform to grow as thought leaders and activists while contributing to meaningful change.

Current Fellows

Tanvi Raman
Environmental and Climate Justice Fellow

Picture1 Our Fellows

Tanvi is a recent graduate from Temple University with a background in Environmental Science and Math. She is interested in the use of mathematical techniques to solve environmental problems as well as the intersection between climate warming and humanitarian issues. She will be monitoring and mapping water pollution in St. Louis, Missouri, addressing structural inequities that heighten vulnerability in marginalized communities, and proposing some potential sustainable water management practices.

Yuchen (Andy) Jiang
Economic Research Fellow

Andy brings a strong background in economics and policy analysis. His work focuses on researching global military spending trends and their impact on social infrastructure. As part of our Move the Money campaign, Andy analyzes economic data to illustrate how redirecting funds from military expenditures to healthcare, education, and sustainability can foster a more equitable society.

Purushottam Bhandare
Senior Peace Fellow

With extensive experience in international relations, Purushottam advocates for peace initiatives through diplomacy and conflict resolution strategies. His work centers on building cross-cultural alliances and promoting peaceful solutions to global conflicts. Purushottam plays a key role in our efforts to engage policymakers in discussions around demilitarization and international cooperation.

Eric Lin
Senior Research Fellow

Eric’s research explores the intersection of technology, militarization, and civil liberties. He focuses on how advanced weaponry and surveillance systems influence global power dynamics and threaten peace. His recent report, Missouri’s Defense Power, examines local military industries and their effect on state economies, while offering alternatives to military spending.

Gabriella Hakopian
International Affairs Fellow

Gabriella focuses on the global aspects of peace and justice, analyzing international relations and the role of diplomacy in resolving conflicts. Her work looks at how international cooperation can foster peacebuilding, while also addressing the impacts of global military spending on human rights and development.

What Our Fellows Do
