Recognizing that every life has value is inspiring
Regarding the article “The value of time” (March 14):
I am heartened to see the good news surrounding the work of the Cowry Collective and Solidarity Economy. All too often, money or the lack thereof can seem to demean or devalue a person. Recognizing that every life has value, and that every person has something positive to offer and to contribute, is inspiring. It encourages its members to become more invested in their communities and their neighbors. It’s moving our economy away from one that profits off war and moves toward an economy that is more stable and peace-based.
I’m excited to continue following the work of these activists and organizations as they continue to lift up the best of what St. Louis can offer.
