Yesterday, PEP joined Missouri ProVote in visiting Senator Roy Blunt’s office to tell him that we wanted to cut the pork from the Pentagon budget and avoid the impending sequester.

We asked folks who couldn’t join us to call their Congressional reps (866-338-1015) to tell them to cut the pork and not our vital social programs.

The Senate voted today on two alternative bills to the sequester, neither of which were passed. Congress will meet again tomorrow morning for one last chance at developing a compromise.
