Peace Talks of the People, by the People, for the People

Saturday, September 7th
8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Fellowship Hall of Transformers United for Christ
1145 College Avenue, Alton, Il

The Peace Pirates will be hosting their first Peace Talks of the People, by the People, for the People on Saturday, Sept. 7th. in Alton, Il. This peace conference is the first of many that will be hosted and facilitated in the United States.

These Peace Talks are the people’s chance to join together and voice their insights and solutions. Let’s get practical. How can we move from a war economy to a peace economy? Let us take a look at our priorities, and put people first. Each human being is sovereign and has rights. Let’s work together to restore and strengthen that foundation.

The St. Louis Peace Conference – to be held in nearby in Alton, IL – will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will utilize a “democracy-in-action” discussion process called Open Space Technology (OST). Learn more about OST here.

Following the conference in Alton, the Peace Pirates will sail down the Mississippi to host conferences in other cities.

The cost for the full-day event on 9/7/13 is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. The Conference, which is non-partisan and non-denominational, will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Transformers United for Christ, 1145 College Avenue, in Alton, Illinois.
