Katerina Canyon Joins World BEYOND War for Critical Events in NYC to Advocate for Peace
I’m humbled to announce that I have joined World BEYOND War for a series of impactful events in New York City from August 10th to 15th. These events are a powerful demonstration of our collective commitment to advocating for an end to the ongoing violence in Gaza and the West Bank.
Throughout the week, we are engaging in vigils, hunger strikes, and processions, calling on the United Nations to uphold international law and take decisive action against the escalating humanitarian crisis. The focus of our efforts is the “Uniting for Peace” resolution, which seeks to impose an arms embargo and targeted sanctions on the Israeli government while pushing for the deployment of unarmed peacekeepers to Palestine.
I am joining forces with incredible organizations such as Code Pink, Veterans For Peace, Fellowship of Reconciliation, and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. Together, we are urging the global community to stand up for justice, peace, and the protection of human rights.
I am deeply inspired by the dedication and resilience of everyone involved, and I invite you to follow our journey, support our cause, and amplify our message for a more peaceful world. Stay tuned for updates as we continue this vital work.
In solidarity,
Katerina Canyon
