Community Organizing and Direct Action Training

Join Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE) for a 2-day intensive training focused on providing community organizing and direct action skills. This training will prepare folks to organize their communities and engage in direct action targeting hometown foes like Peabody Coal, Monsanto, and Paul McKee.

Training topics include: Non-violent direct action, traditional and social media, meeting facilitation, and doorknocking.

Katerina Canyon serves as Executive Director of the Peace Economy Project, where she combines her passion for community advocacy, creative expression, and social justice to challenge militarization and uplift human-centered policy. Drawing on experience in tech, nonprofits, and international communication, she leads research and organizing focused on peace, accountability, and community investment. She is also a poet whose work explores trauma, resilience, and collective healing.
