Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore to Speak at Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence

The Peace Economy Project is honored to announce that Gabe Gore, St. Louis Circuit Attorney, will speak at our Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence on Saturday, February 14, in St. Louis.

This annual vigil brings together survivors, families, advocates, faith leaders, and community members to honor lives lost to gun violence and to hold space for collective healing, reflection, and care. Circuit Attorney Gore’s participation underscores the importance of accountability, community trust, and survivor-centered approaches to public safety.

About the Vigil

The Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence is intentionally reflective and nonpartisan. The program will include an opening invocation, brief remarks from community and victim-advocacy organizations, poetry, a short film, and a moment of silence. Resource tables will be available for attendees seeking support or connection.

Katerina Canyon serves as Executive Director of the Peace Economy Project, where she combines her passion for community advocacy, creative expression, and social justice to challenge militarization and uplift human-centered policy. Drawing on experience in tech, nonprofits, and international communication, she leads research and organizing focused on peace, accountability, and community investment. She is also a poet whose work explores trauma, resilience, and collective healing.
