Call Congress to vote YES on Back to Work Budget
The Congressional Progressive Caucus unveiled their Back to Work Budget, a counter to the Ryan Budget on Wednesday, and already it goes to a vote Tuesday.
This budget would reverse sequester, and work to actually fix the economy by investing in job creation, healthcare, and education. It would also cut military spending, close tax loopholes for millionaires, and expire Bush tax cuts.
It is important that we show our support for a progressive agenda to get the US back on track. We’re asking everyone to call their member of Congress on Monday and urge them to vote for the CPC as part of the national Jobs Not Wars campaign.
To see for yourself why this is the right budget for us, check out the National Priorities Project comparison of the CPC Back to Work Budget to the Ryan and Senate Democratic budgets.
It’s crucial, not just for this vote, but for the future that the progressive agenda gets a strong affirmation of support. Please consider sending an action request this weekend and again Monday to urge your members and supporters to make a call.
