A research and advocacy organization that promotes transparency and accountability in U.S. foreign policy, while advocating a foreign policy that promotes international cooperation, demilitarization and respect for human rights.

Council for a Livable World (CLW) –
An advocacy organization dedicated to reducing the danger of nuclear weapons and increasing national security. Their mission is to advocate for sensible national security policies and to help elect congressional candidates who support them.

Department of Defense –
Controls the United States military. Its mission is to provide the military forces needed to deter war and to protect the security of our country.

Economists Allied for Arms Reduction (ECAAR) –
An organization of and for economists and business leaders promoting objective economic analysis around issues involving global security, peace and the world economy. Further ECAAR stresses the importance of driving appropriate action.

Federation of American Scientists (FSA) –
Dedicated to providing rigorous, objective, evidence-based analysis and practical policy recommendations on national and international security issues connected to applied science and technology. FAS is committed to educating policymakers, the public, the news media, and the next generation of scientists, engineers, and global leaders about the urgent need for creating a more secure and better world.

Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) –
Fields the largest team of registered peace lobbyists in Washington, DC. FCNL staff and volunteers work with a nationwide network of tens of thousands of people from many different races, religions, and cultures to advocate social and economic justice, peace, and good government.

Global Security. Org –
The leading source of background information and developing news stories in the fields of defense, space, intelligence, WMD, and homeland security.

Iraq Veterans Against The War (IVAW) –
Recent veterans and active duty servicemen and women from all branches of military service, National Guard members, and reservists who have served in the United States military since September 11, 2001. Their strategy is to mobilize the military community to withdraw its support for the war and occupation in Iraq.

Offering intelligence, consultancy and advertising solutions to the defense, national security and transport sectors.

Keep Space for Peace –
An organization that serves as a clearinghouse for space issues and acts as a spark to ignite education and organizing in order to build an international citizens movement.

Mapping Arms Data: the Trade in Small Arms and their Ammunition –
The mapping arms data (MAD) visualization tool is a project of the Peace Research Institute OSLO (PRIO) and the Igarape Institute. Launched in 2013, it is based on the original small arms and ammunition tool developed by Google’s Creative Lab in collaboration with Google Ideas, PRIO and the Igarape Institute, as part of the 2012 INFO Summit.

Peace Action –
The nation’s largest grassroots peace network, with chapters and affiliates in states across the country. They organize to place pressure on Congress and the Administration to devise strategies to move forward peace legislation.

Peace, Poverty, People, and Our National Priorities –
An information campaign is a collaborative effort launched in October 2012 by the Peace Economy Project. The goal is to provide a means for the St. Louis community to share, collaborate and partner on issues aligned with the reduction of military spending at the expense of the disenfranchised.

Saint Louis Palestinian Solidarity Committee (STL-PSC) –
A project of the St. Louis Instead of War Coalition. They began organizing against Israeli Apartheid and the Israeli occupation in 2009 in response to the calls of Palestinian civil society for organized action against the Israeli Occupation of Palestine.

St. Louis Justice and Peace Shares (JPS) –
A collaboration of six local groups with different missions, all committed to nonviolent social change and justice for the poor. Recognizing that competition for funds drains both staff and donors, in 2004 these organizations decided to collaborate on fundraising, education, and training. –

A national organization founded in 1985 by military veterans opposed to the Reagan administration’s war against the people of Central America. They have over 100 chapters across the country, with a national office in St. Louis.

Each year, War Resisters League analyzes federal funds outlays as presented in detailed tables in “Analytical Perspectives” of the Budget of the United States Government. Our analysis is based on federal funds, which do not include trust funds — such as Social Security — that are raised separately from income taxes for specific purposes. What you pay (or don’t pay) by April 18, 2016 goes to the federal funds portion of the budget.

A membership organization with active sections in 42 countries around the world.
