Join PEP for the Second Anniversary of Women for Peace

Created in February 2013 by Katerina Canyon and Susan “Spit-Fire” Lively as a poetic valentine from the women of St. Louis to the women of the world, “Women for Peace” is a series dedicated to promoting Gender Violence Awareness.

Enjoy the warm and welcoming ambiance of Mokabe’s and show your love for women at the Two Year Anniversary of the series on Monday, February 2nd at 7:00 p.m.!

The show has featured many gifted local artists, including Mali Newman, Deborah Mashibini, JoyCe Blue, Erin Goss, Maria Teresa Balogh, Pamela Garvey, Stephanie “Surreal Sista” Williams, Maria Guadalupe Massey, Basmin Nadra, Patricia Merritt, Randi Bobby, X Blu Rayne, Dana “Kels” Kelly, Julia Gordon-Bramer, and Shea Brown.

The February event will feature performances by Layla Azmi Goushey, Pacia Anderson, Susan Trowbridge Adams, Maria Teresa Balogh, and Susan “Spit-Fire” Lively.

Lively will produce and host the show, which is done in conjunction with “The Peace Economy Project”, an anti-militarism non-profit organization formed in 1977 (www.peaceeconomyproject.org ). There will be delicious food and beverages available for purchase as well. $5.00 suggested donation at the door; all proceeds benefit PEP.
