TAKE ACTION: NO to Fast Track, TPP

Call your rep today to tell them to vote NO to fast track authority

Earlier today, Representative Dave Camp (R-MI) and Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) introduced “Fast Track” legislation that would enable the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and other free trade agreements to be signed by the White House before the public gets to see them, and then rushed through Congress circumventing ordinary review, amendment and debate procedures.

Granting “Fast Track” to the Trans-Pacific Partnership — a secretive agreement negotiated behind closed doors by government bureaucrats and more than 600 corporate lobbyists – is a BAD idea.  It threatens everything you care about: democracy, jobs, public health, the environment, prospects for peace, and the Internet.

Call your representative TODAY and urge them to vote NO on “Fast Track.
Rep. Lacy Clay: 202-225-2406
Rep. Ann Wagner: 202-225-1621

Calling script:
“Hello, I’m calling to urge my representative to oppose Fast Track for the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. Congress needs time to debate and amend trade agreements that affect all of us. Fast Tracking the TPP is undemocratic, and I expect my lawmakers to oppose it.  Missourians need legislators who stand up for our best interests. I’ll be watching this issue closely in 2014.
