10th Annual ‘Working Class Media & Democracy’ forum

The MO/KS People’s World (www.peoplesworld.org) will host the 10th Annual ‘Working Class Media & Democracy’ forum on Saturday, December 7th.

This year’s Media Forum will be a panel discussion featuring:

  • Tim Rowden, St. Louis Labor Tribune reporter and associate editor 
  • Pamela Merrit, Progress Missouri communications director, blogger at Angry Black Bitch, and former Statewide E-Organizer for Planned Parenthood Affiliate of Missouri
  • Rasheen Aldridge, STL Can’t Survive on $7.35 activist and organizer
  • John Wojcik, People’s World labor editor and International Labor Communications Association vice president

The panel will discuss the relationship between democracy and media and talk about their personal experiences advocating for workers’ rights, democracy and equality through different media, including social media.

A question and answer session will follow directly after the panel discussion. The panel and discussion will be moderated by Shannon Duffy, from the St. Louis United Media Guild.

Program booklet ads are: $150 (quarter page), $300 (half-page), and $500 (full page). We hope you will consider taking out an ad in this year’s program booklet. The program booklet ad deadline is December 2nd.

Tickets are $25. Tables of ten are $200.
